The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services recently featured one of the 2021 Health Quality Innovators of the Year, C.M. Tucker, Jr. Nursing Care Center in their Quality in Action blog.
The nursing home located in Columbia, South Carolina, launched a pilot program to improve staff retention among certified nursing assistants (CNAs) by raising awareness about compassion fatigue and promoting self-care. Through this program, C.M. Tucker, Jr. Nursing Care Center increased its staff retention rate to 100% in just four months.
