Help produce proposals that result in safer, more equitable health care for millions of people across the United States. Health Quality Innovators (HQI) is seeking an energetic capture and proposal support professional with experience in the federal health care sector to join our business development team. As Business Development Coordinator, you will work across the capture and proposal lifecycle, strengthen your strategy skills, and interact with a wide range of subject matter experts, executives and business partners.

The Business Development Coordinator plays an important role in HQI’s growth by identifying and tracking government contract and grant opportunities, gathering competitor and customer intelligence and contributing to bid/no-bid analyses. Other responsibilities include preparing proposal schedules and outlines, coordinating with writers and graphic designers, managing color team reviews, and conducting research and contributing to technical proposal content. The position reports to the Vice President, Organizational Growth.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field of study, such as health care administration, public health, public policy, management, communications or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a capture or proposal support role for a federal government contractor in the health care sector.
  • Strong research and analytical thinking skills. Ability to identify relevant information from multiple sources, assess validity, discern what is most important, and accurately synthesize.  Ability to interpret and analyze business data.
  • Strong organizational, project management and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to produce excellent work on deadline and work well with others under pressure.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and persuasively, with a focus on the customer.
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a remote work setting. Ability to work longer hours and some weekends when necessary to meet proposal deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with government market intelligence platforms. Must have daily access to reliable, high speed internet connection.
