HQI’s Katie Richards and Alynna NguyenHQI’s Katie Richards and Alynna Nguyen (pictured at right) recently attended the National Network of Perinatal Quality Collaboratives (NNPQC) Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Representing the Maryland Perinatal-Neonatal Quality Collaborative (MDPQC), they presented a poster highlighting experiences, lessons learned and successes, while connecting with other PQCs, building skills and enhancing quality improvement capabilities.

Alynna presented, “Supporting Postpartum Transitions: Leveraging Community Resources for Discharge and Substance Use Disorder Care,” highlighting their work addressing substance use among pregnant people, postpartum people and affected newborns. And Katie presented, “Enhancing Patient Briefing and Support,” speaking on their goals of reducing rates of obstetric hemorrhage and decreasing disparities in maternal morbidity and mortality.
