Every November, American Diabetes Month shines a spotlight on the growing impact of diabetes and the urgent need for education, prevention and support. With over 38 million Americans living with diabetes and nearly 98 million with prediabetes, this national observance, led by the American Diabetes Association (ADA), calls on individuals, communities and organizations to take action.

This year’s theme, “We Fight for You,” emphasizes the ADA’s commitment to improving lives through advocacy, education and research. Behind every statistic is a personal story of someone navigating the cost of care, learning to manage their condition or seeking support for a healthier future.

HQI encourages everyone to:

  • Learn their risk for developing diabetes
  • Talk to their healthcare provider
  • Share their story to raise awareness
  • Support community efforts that promote prevention and access to care

Together, we can help reduce the burden of diabetes and empower individuals to live healthier lives. Visit the American Diabetes Association’s website to learn more and get involved.
