Presenter at podiumHealth Quality Innovators team members Jennifer Chenault-Walker (pictured at right) and Lynne Layug recently attended the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Healthcare Infection Prevention and Control Summit in Chicago, IL.

Representing Maryland Project Firstline, Chenault-Walker participated in two panels. During the Health Equity & Roles in the Healthcare Space panel, Chenault-Walker joined experts from the Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum, the Minnesota Health Department and Salud America to discuss their infection prevention and control health equity initiatives and commitment to bringing Project Firstline training to diverse communities.

Additionally, in the Effectively Communicating Infection Control to Healthcare Workers session, Chenault-Walker joined panelists from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and RTI International, the organization that researched, developed and tested the Project Firstline education and training products. Chenault-Walker discussed implementing Project Firstline resources and training to healthcare workers and environmental services staff in healthcare settings in Maryland.
