The Maryland Perinatal-Neonatal Quality Collaborative (MDPQC) recently recognized nearly three dozen hospitals throughout the state for their commitment to quality improvements that deliver better health outcomes for birthing people and newborns.

MDPQC is a network of perinatal care providers and public health professionals working to improve health outcomes for birthing people and newborns through continuous quality improvement. The Collaborative provides participating birthing hospitals with educational resources, technical assistance and a platform for communication and sharing best practices.

Participating hospitals were eligible for one of three recognition levels – silver, gold, platinum – in each of two initiatives – hypertension and antibiotic stewardship.
