Every November, American Diabetes Month raises awareness about the impact of diabetes and the importance of prevention, education and support. More than 38 million Americans are living with diabetes, and millions more are at risk, making early detection and disease management critical to improving health outcomes.

This year’s theme, “It All Matters,” highlights how every step taken toward prevention, treatment, education and research contributes to a future free from diabetes. Led by the American Diabetes Association, the campaign encourages individuals, families, health care professionals and communities to work together to support those affected by diabetes.

HQI encourages everyone to:

  • Learn their risk for developing diabetes
  • Talk to their health care provider about prevention and management
  • Take advantage of diabetes education and support resources
  • Share information that promotes awareness and healthy lifestyles

Together, we can help reduce the burden of diabetes and empower individuals to live healthier lives. Visit the American Diabetes Association’s website to learn more and get involved.
