Each August, National Health Center Week recognizes the vital role community health centers play in improving access to quality health care for millions of Americans.

Health centers provide comprehensive services that include primary care, preventive screenings, chronic disease management, behavioral health support and health education. Access to preventive care and routine health services is essential for identifying health concerns early and managing chronic conditions before complications arise.

Community health centers also serve as trusted partners in addressing social factors that influence health, such as transportation, housing, food security and language access.

HQI recognizes the contributions of community health centers and the dedicated professionals who work every day to connect people with the care and resources they need. Strengthening access to care is a critical step toward building healthier communities across the region.

As we observe National Health Center Week, we encourage organizations, providers and community partners to continue working together to ensure high-quality care is available to all who need it.
