HQI team members, Dianne Kaschak and Lynne Layug and representatives from the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) exhibited at the 18th Annual Maryland Patient Safety Conference in Baltimore. The conference focused on providing education and strategies to inspire healthcare professionals to take a fresh look at patient safety issues that continue to occur despite individual and institutional best efforts.

The HQI and MDH team provided information to conference attendees on Project Firstline, a program created by CDC that helps to prevent infectious diseases through free education.
